IRS publishes reminder: U.S. taxpayers living and working abroad face June 17 deadline to file their 2023 tax returns

SP Team

The IRS reminds U.S. taxpayers living and working abroad to file their 2023 federal income tax returns by June 17. This deadline applies to U.S. citizens and resident aliens abroad, including those with dual citizenship. Taxpayers residing overseas or serving in the military outside the U.S. automatically qualify for a two-month extension to file and pay taxes. To use this extension, taxpayers must attach a statement to their tax return explaining their qualifying situation.

The reminder can be found here.
