Socorro Partners is pleased to announce that Silvana Oliva has joined the firm as Senior Advisor to its Transaction Advisory practice. Based in New York City, Silvana is a Spanish and British national who has lived and worked in Spain, the U.S., the U.K., and South America. Silvana brings over 20 years of operational leadership and consulting experience, with a deep focus on innovation, transformation, and tech-enabled value creation strategies. She has extensive experience in M&A strategy, post-merger integration, and P&L management, helping companies ranging from mid-cap to Fortune 10 navigate complex strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Socorro Partners, Silvana played a key leadership role at Google, where she led the international expansion of its cloud infrastructure through strategic acquisitions and spearheaded the growth of its Digital Transformation practice in New York. She began her career at BT Group Plc. in London, where she worked on transformation, M&A, and post-merger integration projects before joining Alcatel-Lucent, where she oversaw strategy, finance, and operations in the lead-up to its merger with Nokia. She has also held senior roles in investment banking and the UK government, managing capital allocation and investment strategies. Since 2016, Silvana has served as an independent board director and board advisor to multiple private companies in Europe and the U.S., serving on risk management and governance committees.
A graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, Silvana holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School as a Sloan Fellow; a Master of Public Administration from London School of Economics; and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hull.
