CEO & Managing Partner

Jesus is the CEO & Managing Partner of Socorro Partners, a professional services firm with global reach focused on value creation for its clients through efficient, high-quality solution delivery from the best and brightest people with diverse talents and backgrounds. Prior to Socorro Partners, Jesus was the National Managing Partner of BDO’s U.S. Management Consulting practice, as well as the leader of its global Management Consulting practice.

An auditor and CPA (NY and FL) by background, Jesus started his career at Ernst & Young in 1999 working primarily with SEC registrants. In 2014, he founded the Risk & Transaction Advisory practice at Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra (MBAF) where he led the practice until MBAF’s sale to BDO in 2021. With a broad, global, business and management background, Jesus has cross-functional leadership experience building and leading high-performing teams and managing key client relationships. He has worked with boards and senior management teams through many complex audit engagements and strategic projects, including complex transformational and operational improvement initiatives and capital markets transactions.

Jesus has also worked with PE-backed companies on governance matters, financial reporting, carve-outs, business process improvement and transaction structuring in contemplation of liquidity events, including through M&A and IPOs. Jesus has a mix of public and private company board experience and holds the Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School. He has served on all public company standing committees, as well as ad hoc transaction committees to deal with capital markets transactions in the context of public offerings and M&A. He qualifies as an Audit Committee Financial Expert, as defined by the rules of the SEC. Jesus is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Palmer Trinity School, and he is on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) FL. He holds the NACD Directorship Certification and is an NACD Board Fellow. Jesus was previously the Chair of the Florida Board of Accountancy where he served and chaired various committees, including the Probable Cause Panel, during his governor-appointed board tenure. A graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, Jesus holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Florida International University.
