Justin Gwin is a Managing Director of the firm’s Advisory practice, specializing in internal audit, SOX compliance, control evaluation, enterprise risk management, and external quality assessment reviews. Justin joined Socorro Partners after five years at BDO leading the Risk Advisory practice for the Florida market. Prior to BDO, Justin was at Kaufman Rossin, a Miami-based CPA firm, where he established the internal audit service line when he rejoined the firm in 2013. He has also served as an outsourced Chief Audit Executive for multiple organizations. Additionally, Justin spent four years at Mazars in London. While abroad, he performed internal audits, SOX testing, compliance and controls evaluations for multiple global corporations and client offices throughout Europe.

As a recent practice leader and long-standing practitioner, Justin has led teams through multi-faceted risk and controls engagements at companies ranging from emerging businesses through Fortune 500 in a wide array of industries, including Insurance, Technology, Manufacturing, Restaurant, Transportation/Logistics, Banking, Construction, Real Estate, Cruise lines, Non-Profit, Investment Management, Ship Repair, Health Care, Professional Services, Hospitality, and Retail.

Justin currently serves on the Global Professional Development Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and was the Co-chair of the IIA's 2020 International Conference. He is also a board member and past President of the Miami Chapter of the IIA, a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

A Florida-licensed CPA with undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Justin is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), and is COSO Internal Controls certified.
